The European Citizens’ Panels continue with the second 200-citizen meeting set to take place at the European Parliament in Strasbourg between 24 and 26 September 2021.
The meeting will focus on European democracy/values, rights, the rule of law and security. The panellists will be welcomed on Friday by the Slovenian State Secretary for EU Affairs and Co-Chair of the Conference’s Executive Board, Gašper Dovžan.
“With the start of European Citizens' Panels, the Conference progressed into its active phase, increasingly involving citizens. Their expectations must be at the heart of the Conference,” State Secretary Gašper Dovžan explained ahead of the 2nd panel. "The topics to be discussed this weekend by 200 citizens are also priorities of the Slovenian Presidency of the Council," he added.
Media are invited to the sessions of the European Citizens' Panels - see media advisory for information on the arrangements relating to the first meeting of the second European Citizens’ Panel, including how to follow and cover it.
