Some 12 inspectors from the federal and regional inspection services inspected a chicory farm in Belgium, to verify what the status, wage and the working and living conditions of the employees are. In total, 25 foreign workers worked in the farm.
Thanks to ELA's financial support for the use of interpreters, it was possible to communicate with all the employees which enabled the efficient obtaining of essential information. During this action, both the employer and the employees were informed of their rights and responsibilities when it comes to seasonal work and posted workers. ELA provided leaflets with this information translated into different languages.
