CEPS, in cooperation with COWI, Prognos and CapGemini, is launching a new study for the European Commission’s DG Energy on “EU’s Global Leadership in Renewables”. The study aims to answer two main questions:
•What are the key countries, key markets and key activities in the global renewable energy supply chain?
•What policies would best support the industrial competitiveness of the European renewable energy industry, and its added value to the EU economy and society?
The EU has committed to becoming a global leader in renewable energy. An ambitious and binding renewable energy target of 32% by 2030 was introduced as a cornerstone of its energy policy. While reaching the energy targets, the EU also aims at maximising the competitiveness of the European renewable industry and generating positive socio-economic impacts.
In this context, the European Commission is hosting a kick-off meeting at CEPS to present this new project and engage EU stakeholders.
The event is free of charge; registration is required. Remote participation can be arranged upon request.
