The summit, on 25 - 26 June 2019 in Lisieux, co-organised by the French Ministry of agriculture and food, the association Régions de France, the Region of Normandy, the EIP-AGRI network and the European Commission, will bring together representatives from EIP-AGRI projects throughout Europe as well as local actors and experts.
The event is dedicated to the contribution of the European Innovation Partnership on Agricultural Productivity & Sustainability (EIP-AGRI) for the transition to agroecology.
Between 300 and 400 participants are expected to attend, including farmers, researchers, advisors, enterprises, associations, decision-makers, as well as EU Commissioner for Agriculture and Rural Development Phil Hogan.
Various thematic issues will be discussed and explored, such as
-production systems to enable sustainable management of natural resources
-integrating agroecology within the value chain
-reducing inputs to increase autonomy of farms
-fostering knowledge sharing, co-creation and dissemination of innovation at all levels
The summit is by invitation only.
