Video viEUws.eu: EU Tweets of the Week: Far-right parties form group in EU parliament, France refused to let in 250 African migrants, Europe on track to meet its 2020 renewable energy target, Commission and religious leaders discussed how to "Live together & disagree well”

Jennifer Baker presents EU Tweets of the Week, looking at the good, the bad and the ugly in the European Union Twittersphere this week:

  • Most debated: brace yourselves, EU bubble - a new European Parliament Group is born: European far-right parties are now the “Europe of Nations and Freedom” family.
  • The good: renewables in the energy mix - Miguel Arias Cañete announced that Europe was on track to meet its 2020 target (15.3% in 2014). Many welcome the news.
  • The bad: while EU officials marked the 30th anniversary of the Schengen agreement, France refused to let in 250 African migrants. So much for the free movement of people.
  • The ugly: the EU Twittersphere was left bemused by the rather odd theme chosen by the Commission for its meeting with religious leaders: “Living together and disagreeing well”!
