The president, Lech PILAWSKI, invites you to attend the virtual meeting of the Labour Market Observatory, that will take place on Thursday 21 January 2021 from 9:30-13:00.

The meeting will mainly be devoted to discussing the LMO's work programme and work methods. A detailed agenda will be transmitted to the LMO members as soon as possible.

SPECIAL REMARKS

In view of the current situation regarding the pandemic, the Belgian government has announced a series of strict measures to combat the alarming rates of infection in the country (more information on the Belgian measures is available via the following link: https://www.info-coronavirus.be/en/).

Consequently, the EESC president decided on 18 November 2020 that all Committee meetings shall be held remotely, without the physical presence of persons other than the chair, until 31 December 2020.

Given the current health situation, details of how you will be able to participate in this meeting will be communicated nearer the time.

All the technical details of the organisation of the Interactio video conference will be sent to you in a separate message.

In accordance with the Bureau decision of 28 October 2020 amending the decision on the reimbursement of expenses and allowances, beneficiaries who have been invited to a duly authorised meeting and who decide to participate remotely shall be entitled to a daily allowance if they are unable to attend the meeting in person as a result of COVID-19 national travel restrictions or other related measures, provided that their name is included on the attendance list that is drawn up on the day of the meeting, by the secretariat. For any questions regarding reimbursements, please contact the Members' Working Conditions Unit.

Members unable to attend the meeting are asked to give advance notice to Triin.Aasmaa@eesc.europa.eu and lina.melninkaitiene@eesc.europa.eu.

Information about practical arrangements can be found here.
