In a world in which communities and economies are increasingly entwined, local and regional politics are more and more international. This event provides a platform for politicians and representatives from the Netherlands (D66, VVD), Germany (FDP) and Belgium (Open VLD) to disucss cross-border cooperation.

All politicians and chair(wo)men of D66, VVD, Open Vld and FDP interested in cross-border cooperation are invited to join the forum. Participation is free of charge with English as the main language. Lunch, coffee/tea and drinks are included in the program. Travel reimbursements can be made available.

Democraten 66 (D66)

Democraten 66 (D66) is een hervormingsgezinde sociaal-liberale partij. Bij de komende verkiezingen is minister Sigrid Kaag lijsttrekker en daarmee is zij tevens politiek leider. De partij werd opgericht op 14 oktober 1966 door 44 'homines novi', waarvan er 25 eerder bij andere politieke partijen actief waren geweest. Belangrijkste initiatiefnemer en voorman (tot 1998) was de oud-journalist Hans van Mierlo. De huidige partijvoorzitter is Anne-Marie Spierings.

D66 haalde bij de Tweede Kamerverkiezingen van 15 maart 2017 19 zetels, een winst van zeven zetels ten opzichte van het resultaat bij de verkiezingen in september 2012. De partij heeft zeven zetels in de Eerste Kamer.
