Classifications, Terminologies and Standards Unit aims to build international health standards used in health information systems covering basic dimensions of health and health services. These include International Classifications of Diseases (ICD), Disability (ICF) as well as related classification and standardized terminology systems. For use in computerized health information systems and electronic patient records these products should interoperate to allow meaningful data exchange. In addition, the CTS unit has recently added the responsibility of compiling health information standards in an internet based repository.
Description of duties: Under the supervision of the Coordinator CTS, the incumbent will be responsible for: 1. Supporting the systematic presentation of the ICD 11 Alpha drafts: tracking the progress of work in a structured way using project management tools and sharing the tasks with all parties involved. 2. Monitor the issues raised by different user groups, and assist in the coordination of the response: a. Revision Steering Group (RSG) b. Topic Advisory Groups (TAGs) c. Other Interested parties - in particular, the new user groups engaged in the alpha phase to build social networks towards better engagement in field trials, responding to user-defined requirements, building quality assurance mechanisms. 3. Assist in responding to the queries and issues through mail, email, internet based presentations, meetings, and other tools. 4. Other relevant tasks as assigned by supervisor.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Essential University degree in management, business, informatics or related disciplines.*
Desirable Advanced degree in management sciences (e.g. MBA).

Skills: Extensive knowledge, abilities and skills of operational planning and coordinating work.
Excellent computer skills including software, particularly MS Project, Excel and Internet based applications. Standard word microsoft IT package.
Knowledge of ICD.
Knowledge of terminologies and ontologies.
WHO Competencies: 1. Producing results 2. Communicating in a credible and effective way 3. Fostering integration and teamwork 4. Moving forward in a changing environment.
Experience: Essential At least 2 years of progressive experience in project management at international level.
Desirable Experience in managing web-based projects (e.g. collaborative web tools).
Languages: Excelllent knowledge of English is essential.

Annual salary: (Net of tax) USD 46669 at single rate USD 49756 with primary dependants Post Adjustment: 96.8 % of the above figure(s).
