COMMISSION OPINION

APPOINTMENT OF MEMBERS OF THE EUROPEAN ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL COMMITTEE FOR THE PERIOD EXTENDING TO 20-9-2015

Communication of Mr Šefcovic

According to article 302, second paragraph, of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union, the members of the Committee are appointed by the Council, who consults the Commission. On 8 November 2011, the Council has requested the Commission’s opinion on the nomination of a German member of the EESC.

The Commission hereby decides to give a positive answer on the proposed appointment.
