La 14a Commissione, esaminato l'atto COM(2010) 65 def.,
considerato che esso è diretto a rendere obbligatoria, anche per Ie statistiche dei trasporti marittimi, Ia rilevazione di dati per tipo di merci, come gia avviene per Ie statistiche dei trasporti su strada, per ferrovia e per vie d'acqua interne, al fine di consentire Ia massima comparabilita possibile fra i diversi modi di trasporto e Ia definizione di un quadro generale per sostenere e monitorare 1'ammodernamento della logistica dei trasporti di merci;
rilevato che la proposta di regolamento risulta conforme al princi-pio di sussidiarieta, in quanto l'obiettivo di isrituire un quadro comune per la produzione sistematica di statistiche europee sui rrasporti marittimi di merci utilizzando la stessa classificazione per tipo di merci impiegata per Ie altre pertinent! statistiche dei trasporti, non puö essere sufficiente-mente conseguito dagli Stati membri attraverso una rilevazione su base volontaria;
rilevato che la proposta di regolamento risulta conforme al princi-pio di proporzionalita, in quanto la legislazione europea si limita a definire i dati da fornire in modo da garantire una struttura e un calendario armo-nizzati, lasciando a ciascuno Stato membro la Hberta di stabilire i mecca-nismi di rilevazione dei dati stessi,
formula, per quanto di competenza, osservazioni favorevoli.
