The letter annexed to document 14498/06 should be read as follows:
" The Commission will come forward in the coming months with a proposal on infrastructure charging at the European airports, including a proposal on transparency of the financing of the
security measures.
On the basis of such legislation the Commission will also further develop a more general
approach to the financing of security measures at the European airports.
